We welcome Institute for Economic Democracy's Planetary Council proposal The Elders' Creating a New United Nations document

We are the original Planetary Council, and we agree with the need for change.

We believe the UN was created after World War II.

Now we are living through the conditions of World War III.

There is war everywhere. There are many regional conflicts. Many countries are directly involved, indirectly involved, or complicit through weapons, finance, intelligence, trade, silence, and political cover.

World War III does not need to look like one single declaration of war. It can look like permanent conflict, collapsing international law, climate breakdown, ecological destruction, mass displacement, information warfare, economic warfare, and governments protecting the system instead of protecting life.

That is where we are.

The old global system was built for the world after World War II. But the world has changed. The crisis is now planetary, and a new organisation needs to emerge.

Our goal is to gather a peaceful 51% majority of humanity and help the UN start again with a new system.

Planetary Council is not waiting for permission.

Planetary Council is already emerging.
