New incentives

The Impact List replaces the rich list.

We rank what we want more of. A wealth ranking manufactures hoarding; an impact ranking manufactures contribution. Same human drive for status — pointed at life instead of accumulation.

Old scoreboard
Wealth ranking
Measures what you hold
Rewards extraction and enclosure
One number, no consequences
Beyond $1B: no added happiness, only added power
New scoreboard
Planetary Council Impact List
Measures what you contribute
Rewards restoration, peace, care, invention
Open method, auditable evidence
Status you cannot buy — only earn

How impact is scored

Five weighted dimensions. Published method, public evidence, revisable by anyone.

LIFE
Lives improved
Health, food, shelter, safety — measured in people, not dollars.
BIO
Ecology restored
Carbon drawn down, land and ocean returned to health.
PAX
Peace made
Conflicts de-escalated, weapons flows stopped, enemies reconciled.
GNO
Knowledge released
Open science, open tools, patents freed into the commons.
CAP
Power returned
Wealth voluntarily brought under the ceiling; governance handed to the commons.

The list — opening ranks

Ranks are open. Nominations welcome.
