Where the money goes?
Transparency — humble beginnings, plainly stated.
One thing. All of it.
£1,000 a month, straight to the families
Every penny raised through the listings goes to the families of the imprisoned supporters we call the PalestineAuction prisoners — our prisoners of war. No projects, no schemes, no overheads. Just money, given to the families. This board is managed by volunteers donating their time — nobody here takes a wage, which is how every penny stays every penny.
The number is pegged to something everyone understands: a part-time job. Twenty hours a week at minimum wage comes out to roughly £1,000 a month, and that is what a family receives — rounded to keep it simple. A prisoner can't earn; their family shouldn't go without because of it.
Background reading
On what Palestinian detainees face — including from military and police dogs supplied by European countries:
- Attack dogs: how Europe supplies Israel with brutal canine weapons of war — The Guardian, June 2025.
- Israeli prison guards are using dogs to rape Palestinians, former detainees say — Novara Media, November 2025.
- Nicholas Kristof on sexual violence against Palestinian detainees — The New York Times (opinion), May 2026, and the follow-up: Your questions about Nicholas Kristof's column.
- Caitlin Johnstone on the same reports — Brave New Europe.
That reporting is the backdrop. The response of this board is the simplest one there is: while someone is inside, their family gets a part-time wage. Nothing clever — just support.
What the money never touches
Nothing raised here goes to any proscribed organisation, or to anything unlawful. See the legality & disclaimer page — that isn't small print, it's the rules of the board.
